Tyra Levison

From a young age, Tyra has been passionate about visual arts and has expressed creativity for art forms such as ceramics, acrylic painting, sculpture, calligraphy and especially oil painting. Throughout her schooling career, Tyra’s vast variety of art have achieved placings in local art competitions such as the Hawksbury Show Art Competition. During her final year of schooling, Tyra pursued oil painting as a means of expressing her Swedish heritage and love for painting landscapes, which landed her 1st in her school for Visual Arts in Year 12.

About Tyra

Tyra is now studying Medical Science at Macquarie University, and is studying to become a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. During her studies, Tyra paints as a hobby and particularly focuses on her landscape painting techniques. She hopes that her paintings may show a new perspective or open one’s eyes to the serenity of nature, as a point of calmness, especially within the current world we are in.

Tyra strives to use her learnt skills to help others wanting to improve on their art techniques. She has always been inspired by Bob Ross, who motivated her that “there are no mistakes, just happy accidents”. With this in mind, Tyra strives to guide emerging artists, like herself, that art is a subjective and meaningful craft, which anyone can achieve with a little guidance and support.
