Laura Bright
Laura is an abstract artist and designer based in Sydney, Australia, who has studied for a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree at Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney.
About Laura
In recent years, Laura has delved into a variety of art practices including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, eco resin and hot glass blowing. Laura’s works have been displayed in a number of exhibitions across Sydney, published in the Art Edit Magazine and selected as a finalist multiple times in the Blacktown City Art Prize.
Laura’s work embodies a spiritual nature where they capture moments of her life, allowing the intangible to become tangible for the world to see. Healing from past traumas allows her to express how she feels through her work, allowing her to fully let go and let her emotions to be frozen in time within her paintings. Through her work, Laura intends to evoke an emotional response from the viewer. She hopes they can get lost in the moment while connecting with her work and to become consciously aware of how the artwork makes them feel. Whether that’s feeling joy, curiosity, melancholy or even taking them back to past memories of their own.
